Wide receiver Philip Pierre-Louis of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale said Sunday he plans to sign with Auburn in February.
Pierre-Louis, 5-9 and 165 pounds, has been clocked at a sizzling 4.25 in the 40-yard dash. He was one of 15 officials visitors to the Auburn campus over the weekend.
"I just committed," Pierre-Louis said Sunday. It was just a perfect fit - the atmosphere, the school, everything."
Auburn offered Pierre-Louis a scholarship after Tony Franklin arrived as offensive coordinator with his spread scheme. And Franklin's offense was a big selling point to Pierre-Louis.
"hat affected my decision a huge amount," Pierre-Louis said. "It's perfect offense for me. It'll get me open in the open field."
Auburn didn't get any other immediate commitments from the weekend, but other players said they were impressed.
