Offense-Defense All-American Bowl

"The Offense-Defense All American Bowl is the culmination of years of hard work developing a winning curriculum and reputation for excellence, as well as experience in working with young players," said O-D President Rick Whittier. "Unlike other games that can be seen as marketing tools, we are working to make this game a pure, annual tradition that athletes from all across the country can strive to be a part of."

The O-D All-American Bowl is now entering its 6th consecutive year of operation and continues its proud tradition as a springboard to bigger and better things. The 2010 NFL Draft marked the entry of members of the inaugural Bowl class (2007) into the National Football League. With players like Dez Bryant, Joe Haden, Rolando McClain, Earl Thomas, Carlos Dunlap, and Golden Tate going in the first two rounds alone, the O-D All-American Bowl is already leaving its mark on the freshest stars the league has to offer.

In the early going of the Bowl game's history, the East has been the powerhouse, taking the first three contests by a combined score of 69-25. Last year's West squad broke the streak in a big way, taking it to the East time 35-0 for the first shutout in Offense-Defense All-American Bowl history.

Current Carolina Panther Starting Quarterback and first pick of the NFL draft, Cameron Newton, walked away with MVP honors in the inaugural game with Mike Zordich picking up the trophy the following year in a rain-soaked defensive struggle. 2009's edition saw the first co-MVPs in O-D All-American Bowl history as Demond Dennis and Kwame Geathers shared the honors. This past year's game saw electric runningback and offensive dynamo K.P. Parks win the coveted award for his efforts in punishing the East defense.
